Audi Tuning | VW Tuning

Ever since a trip to Worthersee a couple of years ago, Mike wanted a set of “rotor style” wheels for his VW CC. Unfortunately the call to Achtuning didn’t produce the result he was looking for – the Hartmann HTT-256-MA was only available in a 19″ diameter, not a 20″ – at least not yet. Fast forward a year or so later and the second it was known a 20″ size would be an option, Mike gave us a call and asked to be placed on a wait list. Even though he had since sold the CC, he felt the HTT-256-MA wheel would be a great fit for his recently purchased Audi (C6) S6. He even made a few subtle changes to the exterior of the car in preparation for the new rollers, blacking out some of the chrome for example.

A Tire Rack order of 275/30 Michelin Pilot Super Sports were sent to us for free mounting & balancing the day the Hartmann Wheel container arrived. Shortly after wheels were unloaded from the container, we asked Mike to come in so we could install the first set of 20″ Hartmann HTT-256-MA wheels on his S6. H&R coil-overs would be thrown on the following weekend before pictures would be taken but as promised, Mike came through with the end result. It was in May of 2008 when we first asked Audi and VW enthusiasts what they thought about a possible new style we were considering adding to the Hartmann Wheel line-up. The unique style seemed to be a hit but priorities meant we had to put the idea on hold. Similar styles and new brands have since popped up with a good portion of the automotive industry embracing the once popular mesh style from the early 80s. When our German partners were recently asked to produce a higher quality, TUV approved version we jumped at the opportunity to add the retro-styled, German-quality wheel to the Hartmann line-up. While we might be a bit late to the game, we are proud to announce the latest addition to the Hartmann family – the HLP-410-GS:M!

In similar Hartmann fashion, the low-pressure heat treated cast wheel is painted a high-gloss silver then diamond-cut machined on the face.  A clear-coat completes the process for a durable, lasting finish!  Current sizes are 19×8.5 with either a 38 or 45mm offset – available to fit most of the Audi and Volkswagen models and they weigh 27 lbs. You’ll be able to find these in the online store shortly.

For every Hartmann Wheel order we receive, each wheel is pulled from the box and inspected prior to shipping. In some cases we find extremely minor cosmetic imperfections created during the paint process at manufacturing, typically 1mm or less in size and found on the face of the wheel.
