QuattroWorld.com Audi Q7 Stanced Correctly
Written by Dion on October 4, 2011 – 3:48 pm -We determined the QuattroWorld.com Audi Q7 needed 18mm DR style H&R wheel spacers up front and 30mm DRA style spacers out back to even out the “stance” and give the Q7 a much more aggressive look. Mission accomplished!

Despite weather conditions, stance is priority one!
Written by Dion on November 24, 2010 – 3:49 pm -When Crosby is driving around in the elements, braving snowy and icy conditions, it’s important for him to look good doing it! (We all know he’s not alone.) Since coil-overs aren’t quite yet in the cards during these crazy winter conditions for his recently acquired Audi (B7) S4, Crosby felt it was necessary to properly “stance” his ride in the meantime. As always, H&R’s Trak+ Wheel Spacers are our solution in helping our fellow Euro-car enthusiasts achieve the look they’re after.

Measuring 12mm up front, and 20mm out back, H&R spacers pushed the factory 18″ wheels out to match the edge of the fender, giving the car a much more aggressive look, and a wider track for better handling.

Big Improvements on a Brand New Audi S5
Written by Dion on October 20, 2010 – 11:48 am -
The car is still so new it’s got the temp tags in place, but that’s not really anything new here at Achtuning. Alex brought us his S5 as he’s got a specific direction in mind for his brand new Audi.

STaSIS/Ohlins SL Coil-Overs, StopTech Street Performance Brake Pads, StopTech Stainless-Steel Braided Brake Lines, and H&R DRA Spacers are just the tip of the iceberg as plenty more goodies are already planned for the very near future. This first step is just enough to get the car looking and rolling proper!

H&R to the rescue!
Written by Dion on June 16, 2010 – 1:45 pm -Thanks to H&R and the recent launch of their www.trakplus.com website, we now have a very resourceful and straight-forward tool to assist us in determining which spacer application to run on your car. While we’d like to think we know everything there is to know about wheel-spacing, the fact is, “going wide” is not an exact science. Also, “stance” is purely subjective. One person’s view of “properly stanced” may likely differ from the next. And unless you are local and can stop by, several variations such as vehicle ride height and/or tire size makes it difficult for us to tell you with absolute certainty whether or not “x”-size spacer is appropriate for your car. We can give you an idea, but ultimately it is up to you to decide where within your fenders you want those wheels to sit…

VW Mk4 GTI’s stance improves with H&R spacers
Written by Dion on September 22, 2008 – 9:56 am -H&R spacers allow you to change the stance of your vehicle by pushing the wheel away from your hub by the thickness of the selected spacer. Longer wheel bolts are then used to accommodate for the extra “space” and bolt the wheel to the hub with the spacer in between. H&R spacers are many times installed only to make an aesthetic difference and change vehicle stance but there are some instances where H&R spacers are needed for specific wheels and their offsets to clear suspension components. Take Brandon’s black mk4 1.8T GTI for example…
In order to run these specific 18×8.5, 35mm offset wheels at the height his car sits with his FK coil-overs, 10mm hubcentric H&R spacers were required to push the inside of the wheel and tire away from the suspension components. This allowed Brandon to keep the extreme lowered stance he was after.
Consequently the outer clearance between tire and fender is minimized accordingly so care has to be used on tight cornering or hard bumps to keep the 225/40 tire from hitting the fender. Brandon has plans to roll his front fenders to give the tires additional clearance. And since the fronts were pushed out, the rear wheels naturally had to get pushed out as well to match the front stance and H&R’s 15mm spacers were selected. This aggressive stance completely transforms the look of the GTI and goes to show how much a car’s looks can change with such a small and simple modification.
