APR ECU Upgrade for Jesse’s Gorgeous CC
Written by Dion on November 16, 2010 – 10:46 am -Jesse’s CC had an ECU that was begging for APR software. While the 2.0T is a peppy motor for a mid-sized sedan, a slightly higher idle, better fuel economy, and 250 hp accompanied with 294 lbs/ft of torque is really more the appropriate power delivery needed for a car that looks this good!

This CC sits over a set of machined/anthracite, 19×8.5 (+38) Hartmann HRS4-252 Wheels using KONI coil-overs. Not only does it look the part, with the help of an APR ECU upgrade it moves like it should!

ACHTUN!NG’s new VW “Comfort Coupe”
Written by Dion on August 10, 2010 – 2:58 pm -We mentioned earlier that we have a new VW in our line-up! The wife and I rolled up to Pignataro VW last Saturday and decided to get ourselves in a bit of trouble, and with the help of Jonathan Gross he made sure it was going to be the painless type of trouble… The VW CC offers quite a bit of car for the money with tuning capabilities parallel to the GTI so it was very easy for us to make our decision – as long as they had it in white, which they did!
Monday morning, two days after purchase:

Completed:
* de-badged
* mud flaps removed
* DRL delete
* remote windows
* horn delete upon locking
We’ve got the usual upgrades planned…
* chip
* intake
* down-pipe
* suspension
* wheels
Hoping to begin getting this ACHTUN’D soon!

A slippery slope we all understand…
Written by Dion on February 12, 2010 – 10:42 am -Car enthusiasm and modding becomes a slippery slope, and Kris understands this very well only after a short time of owning his VW CC. As promised, here are some updates as of his last visit to Achtuning only a couple of weeks ago.

The Gold Coast kit is on and European-spec e-codes now grace the front-end, eliminating the amber corners found in the US-spec headlights. A Carbonio Stage 2 Intake, APR Stage 2 software upgrade, and APR turbo down-pipe gives the CC a bigger bump in power and Kris reports his “butt dyno” can definitely feel a huge improvement from Stage 1. We hear this is yet to be the end of the CC’s improvements to come though, and we’ll of course continue to update you as Kris returns for more!
