Martin dropped off his GTI last night so we could get an early start first thing this morning on his APR K04 kit install. He had been saving up for the kit and Uncle Sam’s annual gift helped him take the plunge. Perfect timing too, as Martin is able to take advantage of APR’s “Spring Into Power” Sale. A Carbonio Stage 1 and Stage 2 intake had previously been installed in an earlier appointment to get the car ready for the big performance jump.

Accompanying the turbo kit is APR’s RSC turbo-back exhaust…

And while we’ve got the car up in the air we’ll be sure to install Neuspeed’s torque arm insert, one of the least expensive yet most effective modifications available for the Mk6.

Wrapping up the install will be a Vogtland coil-over suspension kit and a set of the Hartmann Euromesh 4 wheels. Stay tuned for the final result!

Chris is the first to pick up a set of our brand-new 20″ Hartmann HRS4-252-HS Wheels, and the hyper silver finish he chose is perfect for his B8 Audi A4. Chris is experienced in the school of stance and also knew the car would need to hug the 20″ wheels in order to achieve that proper stance and ultimately improve on the car’s handling characteristics for his daily driving needs. What a sharp-looking car!

With the acquisition of Startup Racing a few months ago, Achtuning is now a distributor of Vogtland Sport Suspension, specifically the coil-over kits for the VW/Audi models and exclusive distributor of the all-popular Vogtland GT coil-over systems. Family owned and operated since 1908 in Hagen-Hohenlimburg Germany, Vogtland’s primary focus is on developing high quality suspension products such as lowering springs, sport suspension kits, and height adjustable coil-over systems – all produced in Germany. First to try out the Vogtland GT kit on a VW Mk5 at Achtuning is Jeremiah with his Jetta GLI.
