Last Friday I mentioned we got another sneak-peak at the B8 A5. This silver S-Line was brought to us by a potential customer who was kind enough to let us take a brake template from his car so we can get a good idea of the types of wheels we’ll have available for this car.

Of course we had to take as many pictures as we could to “soak-in” the beauty that is the B8 A5…

The 66.6mm center bore and high offset specs on the B8 A5s make it difficult for the majority of our current line-up to fit so we’re working on bringing in some new wheels…

We then took the new Hartmann HS5-209 wheel in 19×8.5 (et25) and threw on a set for comparison. The factory wheel is the same diameter and width but 7mm further in so you can see how a 7mm difference in offset gives the car just that slight “edge” and makes for a bit of an aggressive look.

The car will be back to have H&R coil-overs installed soon so you can expect updated pictures then.

These Hartmann HS5 – 209 wheels are sized at 20×9.0″ Et25 which fills out the D3s fenders much better than the stock 19×8.5″ ET45 wheels, which gives the car a nice aggressive look without any rubbing issues.

This setup places the front wheels right at the edge of the fender. Owners looking for the ultimate look would have the option to use small spacers on the rear wheels to get them as close as possible to the edge of the rear fender.

The HS5 – 209 wheels have a machined face and lip with anthracite painted pockets, the entire wheel is finished with a clearcoat. Like most wheels from Hartmann the HS5 – 209s are designed to use the OEM Audi lugbolts so there is no need to purchase additional hardware with the wheel.

Falken FK-452 tires in a 255-35-20 size were chosen on this package, the Falkens are a performance summer tire which can also handle our typical Seattle rain very well. The 19×8.5″ HS5-209 wheels are priced at $295-each, the 20×9.0″ version is $385-each, we have Falken tires available for both sizes and of course we have our Tire Rack link for those looking for other options.
