APR’s RSC™ Technology is now available for the MK6 Jetta / GLI in our newest 1.8 TSI / 2.0 TSI Generation 3 RSC™ 3″ Performance Exhaust System. RSC™ or Reflective Sound Cancellation allows for maximum exhaust gas flow while completely eliminating unwanted in cabin sound resonance known as “drone.” RSC™ incorporates innovative technologies developed in conjunction with NASA. With limited use of packing materials and no baffles, RSC™ allows for a completely straight and free flowing exhaust path throughout the RSC™ mufflers. Reflective Cancellation bounces the undesirable sound waves into each other to attenuate the wave and completely eliminate the low frequency tones that create drone. Each RSC™ muffler is tuned to eliminate specific, undesirable sound frequencies allowing only the engine’s true and desirable exhaust note to be heard and improving performance.

APR’s design specifications and manufacturing requirements result in a 3″ mandrel bend stainless steel performance exhaust system with minimal bends unmatched by any other. RSC™ technology ensures the maximum possible performance increases from any performance exhaust system while maintaining refined and unobtrusive sound inside the cabin.

APR’s RSC™ Technology is now available for the VW MK6 Jetta GLI in their newest 2.0T RSC™ 3″ Performance Exhaust System. RSC™ or Reflective Sound Cancellation allows for maximum exhaust gas flow while completely eliminating unwanted in cabin sound resonance known as “drone.” RSC™ incorporates innovative technologies developed in conjunction with NASA. With limited use of packing materials and no baffles, RSC™ allows for a completely straight and free flowing exhaust path throughout the RSC™ mufflers. Reflective Cancellation bounces the undesirable sound waves into each other to attenuate the wave and completely eliminate the low frequency tones that create drone. Each RSC™ muffler is tuned to eliminate specific, undesirable sound frequencies allowing only the engine’s true and desirable exhaust note to be heard and improving performance.

The Catback System replaces the exhaust system after the factory catalytic converter pipe, includes a 3″ reducer to connect the factory exhaust and remains emission compliant. Stage 2 for your B8 Audi A4 will be well worth it!

A recent post made by Arin@APR shows some incredible gains to be had with the B8-chassis Audi A4 when upgrading to “APR Stage 2″ using their new RSC free-flow exhaust system.  Still in development, but available to the public VERY soon…

The APR RSC Turboback Exhaust Systems were so free flowing the Engineers were able to make safe calibration changes which resulted in the following:

1. Significantly reduced turbocharger spool time over both stock software and APR stage 1 software.
On the days of testing, stage 1 torque levels at 2400 RPM’s were met and exceded at 2000 RPM’s (400 RPM’s Sooner!) simply by running APR stage 2 software with the RSC Turboback Exhaust System

2. Significantly increased and broadened the torque curve compared to both stock and APR stage 1 software.
-On the days of testing, stage 2 torque levels rose 89 FT-LBS under the curve compared to stock software. Peak torque rose from 267 ft-lbs to 355 ft-lbs, for a 88 FT-LBS peak increase.
-On the days of testing, stage 2 torque levels rose 66 FT-LBS under the curve compared to stage 1 software. Peak torque rose from 334 ft-lbs to 355 ft-lbs, for a 21 FT-LBS peak increase.

3. Significantly increased horsepower, especially the area under the curve compared to both stock and APR stage 1 software.
-On the days of testing, stage 2 torque levels rose 50 HP under the curve compared to stock software. Peak power rose from 212 hp to 248 hp, for a 36 hp peak increase.
-On the days of testing, stage 2 torque levels rose 27 HP under the curve compared to stage 1 software. Peak power rose from 235 hp to 248 hp, for a 13 hp peak increase.

All of our data was collected on back to back runs and are the results of average data. Data was also collected on the same car during several days of testing. Gains between runs were in some cases higher but we have chosen to show you an average of what you’ll expect to see as data can change between runs based on countless variables.

Normally Aspirated engines and Supercharged engines still rely on proper exhaust tuning to promote the optimal flow velocity of exhaust gasses leaving the exhaust ports. APR introduces a unique and proprietary X-pipe design that was developed through multiple reiterations to perfectly match the pulse of each cylinder in the 3.0T to provide optimal exhaust flow. Often times, exhaust manufacturers will incorporate X-pipes into all Normally Aspirated or Supercharged applications generically without realizing that the sizing and shape of the ports in the X-pipe require specific tuning to each engine application. APR’s Engineering Team has discovered a trade secret exclusive to APR’s RSC™ Exhaust System that promotes maximum velocity of exhaust gasses by way of the X-pipe to ensure your APR RSC™ Exhaust System will compliment your future modification choices at even the highest horsepower and torque possible.
