APR Presents: 2011/2012 2.0 TSI ECU Upgrades

APR is pleased to announce 2011/2012 Model Year 2.0 TSI ECU Upgrades are now available for the Jetta, GLI, Passat, CC, Tiguan, Beetle and Eos! Delivering 254 HP and 303 TQ with an APR Stage I Upgrade and over 400 HP with an APR Stage III Turbocharger System, APR customers can experience the same power levels existing customers have enjoyed for years.

In late 2010, VW began delivering several 2011 Model Year vehicles with Bosch’s MED 17.5.2 ECU featuring a new Infineon Tri-Core 1767 processor. Launching a new processor type requires the expertise of APR’s Electrical Engineers to fully dissect, reverse engineer and gain a deep intimate knowledge of the new architecture before software development can begin.

Earlier this year, Volkswagen of America contacted APR to Engineer an all-new Stage IV Turbocharger System to showcase the awesome potential of the 2.0 TSI engine found in the new MK6 Jetta GLI. Upon delivery in May, APR found the Jetta was equipped with the new MED 17.5.2 ECU and required extensive development to meet Volkswagen’s expectations of an early delivery at Waterfest, 2011. With months of R&D previously dedicated to the new ECU, APR was able to write software for a 500 HP 2.0 TSI Stage 4 engine build, completing this seemingly impossible project before the GLI had even been released to the North American market.

APR’s Electrical Engineers were then tasked with creating tools necessary for any APR Dealer to flash the ECU in a convenient manor. APR has continued to reinvest in human capitol and as the Engineering department continues to grow, development of new ECU types should be available at a more rapid rate in the future.

APR’s forthcoming Universal Programming Device will allow APR Dealers to flash a multitude of ECU makes and models, in house, without sending customer ECU’s to APR’s HQ. APR anticipates dealer flashing by December 2011. While development of this tool continues, ECU’s will be sent directly to APR’s HQ for upgrading. Depending on ECU, please allow for a one to two business day turn around.

2011-2012 – CC – 2.0 TSI

2011-2012 – Passat – 2.0 TSI

2011-2012 – Tiguan – 2.0 TSI

2011-2012 – Jetta – 2.0 TSI

2012 – Jetta GLI – 2.0 TSI

2011-2012 – Eos – 2.0 TSI

2012 – The Beetle – 2.0 TSI

All other existing 2.0 TSI ECU upgrades are still available at APR dealers around the world.

APR has the following stages available with APR’s Patented EMCS Programs Switching features:

APR Stage I
For use on a completely stock vehicle, or with light bolt on modifications.

APR Stage II
For use with a high flow exhaust system and other bolt on modifications.

APR K04 Turbocharger System
Included with purchase of our APR K04 Turbocharger System.

APR Stage III Turbocharger System
Included with purchase of our APR Stage III Turbocharger System.

APR Presents: Audi C6 A6 3.0 TFSI ECU Upgrade!

After almost a year of accelerated life testing through professional motorsport racing, they are ready to offer an ECU recalibration that is second to none. APR’s extensive research and development provides you with a powerful ECU Upgrade with no loss of drive-ability or reliability. Expect huge increases in top-end power, improved throttle response and a smoother, more powerful power-band.

The APR 3.0 TFSI ECU Upgrade is an expertly re-calibrated engine control strategy that remaps the boost pressure, timing and air fuel ratios inside the factory ECU to provide smooth and reliable power as if intended by the OEM. APR’s ECU Upgrade is developed to work within the OEM and Tier 1 Supplier specifications for engine component stress tolerances and performance specifications. APR’s ECU Upgrades are available in octane specific versions to allow you to take full advantage of the fuel quality available in your area. APR’s forthcoming patented EMCS functionality puts the control of the engine’s operation at your finger tips and allows for additional features and options to be installed to your OEM ECU.

Not only does the APR Stage I ECU Upgrade give you higher peak numbers of 313 horsepower and 323-ft. of torque measured at all 4 wheels, but also gains of up to 95 all wheel horsepower and 75lb-ft are available throughout the power band! APR’s ECU Upgrade is the best power per dollar modification for the new 3.0 TFSI and gives it just the extra edge these cars lack from the factory without pushing the limits. With factory like smoothness and drive-ability APR’s ECU Upgrade will fill the void in an otherwise excellent car.

Acceleration Testing
All figures measured by APR using a stock C6 A6 3.0TFSI Tiptronic. Because the factory speed limiter is set to 125mph, the stock runs were conducted with the speed limiter removed. APR Stage I runs were preformed with APR Stage I 93 Octane programming. All runs were conducted from the same starting point.

13.2 – Stock

ECUs must be sent in to APR by an authorized dealer. ACHTUN!NG will remove and send your ECU with Next Day service to APR, APR will then chip and send back the ECU (typically within the same day) with Next Day service back to ACHTUN!NG for re-installation. It’s the little things that can make a big difference…

Brian has no interest in lowering his S-Line B8 A4 avant, and at its current ride height I don’t blame him. Used as a daily driver to haul around family or business associates, and already sitting on the S-Line’s 19×8.5″ wheels styled after the new RS6 wheel and Audi’s “sport suspension”, all he really needed was a bit of help from H&R with some 5mm spacers out back to make just the slightest bit of difference in over-all stance and appearance.

The H&R’s 5mm spacer is not hubcentric, meaning it doesn’t come with a lip for the wheel to evenly balance on, but then the hub’s lip is slightly thicker than the spacer so there is some room to center the wheel evenly on the Audi’s wheel hub lip.

To pep the car up a bit, Brian had us load APR’s ECU Upgrade, and just in time to take advantage of APR’s sale pricing where various octane-level programming options are installed for the price of a single-program burn! APR software is the best power per dollar modification for the new 2.0 TFSI Valve Lift and gives it just the extra edge these cars lack from the factory without pushing the limits.

All-in-all, not much more has to be done to improve on this S-Line A4. Interior fit and finish is superb as always with the combination of brushed aluminum and alcantara suede.

What more could you ask for? Surely we can come up with something…
