When Crosby is driving around in the elements, braving snowy and icy conditions, it’s important for him to look good doing it! (We all know he’s not alone.) Since coil-overs aren’t quite yet in the cards during these crazy winter conditions for his recently acquired Audi (B7) S4, Crosby felt it was necessary to properly “stance” his ride in the meantime. As always, H&R’s Trak+ Wheel Spacers are our solution in helping our fellow Euro-car enthusiasts achieve the look they’re after.

Measuring 12mm up front, and 20mm out back, H&R spacers pushed the factory 18″ wheels out to match the edge of the fender, giving the car a much more aggressive look, and a wider track for better handling.

I had to see it on the car… The thought of gold on Imola just wasn’t settling right. But then it wasn’t my car so off to Work went Rhett’s refurbished 18×8 front and 18×9 rear VSXXs he picked up on the cheap to have re-drilled. The 38mm offset on the 8″ wide fronts required a 15mm H&R spacer to clear the Audi S4′s HP2 brake caliper but was a perfect fit for the 9″ rears. Wrapped with 215/40-18 and 245/35-18 Falken FK-452s front to rear respectively, the fit was just right.

Tim needed new wheels, and bad! Running around with a cracked wheel (*cough* don’t buy chinese wheels!! *cough*) is no fun so replacements were a must. And when you’re running around in a Nogaro Blue B5 Audi S4 you better have good-looking shoes to match… Enter the Hartmann HRS4-DTM Wheel. The DTM has been a consistent top-seller for Hartmann and with the new 8.5″ width it’s definitely going to continue being a fast-moving classic! Bolting right up without any spacing and having plenty of clearance for the B5 S4′s obese HP2 calipers, the stance is perfect on the 18×8.5″ rollers with a 38mm offset.

This is one of our APR Stage 3 S4s. Short of a wide body kit and an intercooler, turbo and engine upgrades have turned this S4 into an RS4, producing an APR-claimed 447hp and 467 ft. lbs. of torque. This sleeper will surprise the hell out of anything on the highway!

The lowered stance is provided (most recently) by STaSIS Streetsport Coil-Overs , replacing the previous H&R coil-overs as they were in need of being rebuilt. The car sits on 18×8″ Work VS-XX wheels with staggered offsets allowing for a slightly larger rear lip out back.

Jason drove down from Vancouver, BC in his B7 Audi S4 on his way to this weekend’s Quattrofest 2008 event in Portland, Oregon. Prior to his track event though, he stopped here at Achtuning to purchase the STaSIS Ohlins SL Sport Suspension and Alcon Monobloc 4 – 355 Big Brake System to improve the handling and braking characteristics of his already well-performing S4 and enhance his track experience.

Stock B7 S4 suspension performs well but as Jason is an avid track enthusiast, the STaSIS Ohlins SL Sport Suspension would offer quicker reaction times and stability when cornering at high speeds, all the while retaining stock-like comfort for daily street driving.

And certainly braking could not be left alone as Jason prefers to wait for the very last possible moment before standing on the brakes and carrying out his high-speed turns on the track. The Alcon 4-piston calipers surrounding 355mm slotted rotors will give him the right amount of balanced braking power and heat dissipation for confident, last-second braking.

On a whim, we decided to throw on a set of the Hartmann HRS6-204 wheels on our resident B5 S4 Avant so we could see them on a car…

… Still waiting to get a lowered B6 or B7 in to test-fit these with though but a much better-looking wheel out of the box than anticipated.
