Factory exhaust is out…

We’ve got the STaSIS exhaust sitting up front, the factory unit just behind that wrapped in heat shield, and what’s left of the R8!

Pokin’ around to check out all the space left behind when the exhaust was removed, it was cool spottin’ this on the transaxle…

The factory exhaust unit now lies naked without the heat shield wrapped around it. Replacing it with the STaSIS exhaust shaves 30lbs. – a considerable difference for someone who likes to track his R8 like Roman does.

Heat shield now wraps the STaSIS exhaust and we’re now ready to put the car back together!!

Dis-assembly of the R8′s rear-end continues and is almost concluded!

First shots this morning of the R8 exhaust install prior to tens of thousands worth of body panels, engine covers, and trim being removed…

And it appears this R8 has already seen some track time!

I guess it’s time we clue you in a bit more on what we had planned for this thing…

Roman is 1 of 10 recipients of STaSIS Engineering’s exclusive Audi R8 exhausts. We’ll have updates on the install over the next day or two. We can’t wait to hear this thing fire up for the first time post exhaust install!
