Jim brought back his “burly” Audi S4 to have APR’s ECU Software Upgrade installed – taking advantage of the APR Winter Sale. Unfortunately we didn’t have a file specific to this particular ECU so we extracted the codes from it and had the information sent to APR so a file can be developed.

This process takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes so I had a chance to see what other little things Jim had done to his S4 – a week ago when Jim had his car here for the Stasis Differential and APR full exhaust install, he asked us to take the car to Benchmark Motoring for a few other “goodies” he had planned… Notice anything here?

A very stealthy install of both radar detector and laser jammer sensors in the front bumper and rear license plate mount allow Jim to travel cross-country with some peace of mind knowing that troopers can’t sneak up on him. A rear-view camera on the same license plate mount is also integrated to work with his factory RNSE (head) unit. A nice “hidden” display for the Passport system was cleanly installed in the factory ash-tray.

Jim is really particular to the new Hartmann RS6-204 wheels – Perhaps we’ll be able to update you in the near future if and when that happens. Other than the ECU upgrade, a rear differential upgrade is planned along with a few other exterior changes. As always, we’ll keep you posted!
