STaSIS exhaust on B7 Audi S-Line A4
Written by Dion on October 2, 2008 – 10:47 am -Mark stopped by with his S-Line A4 to get his ECU “reflashed” due to a dealer update that wiped out his APR software. While here he was trying to decide between a suspension upgrade (STaSIS Streetsports) or a STaSIS exhaust system as his next upgrade.
Turns out, Ariel was here picking up her B7 A4 S-Line from us after we installed suspension, wheels, and tires, and since her car is equipped with the STaSIS exhaust he was able to get an idea of what sound to expect.
Well, it probably didn’t help that he stopped by on the first day of launching our Achtoberfest Sale. 30-minutes later, we had his car pulled in around back and began installation. I’m not sure if I should congratulate him or apologize!
Out with the old…
… And in with the new.

Any more pictures? Do the tips stick out too much or is that something you can adjust, fore and aft? Looks awesome. Mine’s in the mail.

There’s room to make a few adjustments.

Thoughts – Just installed my STaSIS on my 06 B7 (2.0TQ-SLine). The exhaust is definitely audible when you’re cruising and does drone a bit at lower RPMs; I feel sorry for my rear passengers. However, the system does sound good and looks “hard” from the back. I hope the exhaust settles in and quiets down from the inside.
Install – The three bolts that connect the downpipe to the cat are very hard to get off and on. I’d recommend EVERYONE taking their B7s to the shop and using a lift to do the install. My bud and I tried removing the original exhaust using just ramps and ended up partially stripping a bolt or two. Not cool. Be wise, go to the shop, use the lift.

Mark or anyone else with the STaSIS? Are you sure there’s no drone? Describe your experience with the STaSIS. When you first installed it, did you notice the exhaust from within the car while driving? Just want to make sure what I’m hearing is normal. Did yours “break-in” and sound different?

I’m planning on getting an exhaust system for my B7 A4. Was there any problem with your check engine light coming on after you installed the system? I just wanted to make sure everything worked fine after the system was installed.

No problems at all
Exhaust wise the only thing that would trigger a CEL would be a testpipe or high flow catalytic converter. APR has specific programming for that upgrade, for customers already chipped with APR and adding a testpipe or HFC there is no charge to reflash the software to accommodate
